Depending on the comics of the same name and place in the same world as fellow teen drama Riverdale, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is rather the spellbinding watch.
Starring Mad Men’s Kiernan Shipka as the titular witch, the dark reboot of the chirpy’90s sitcom has finished its third season (or Part 3, since it is formally known on Netflix). But will Greendale’s witches be back to raise Hell to get a fourth time?
Will there be a Chilling Adventures of Sabrina season 4?
It’s not necessary to pray into the Lord has already been confirmed. Netflix ordered 16 episodes back in December 2018. These are split into Parts 3 and 4, together with Part 3 arrived on Netflix in January 2020 — we’d place money on season 4 arriving in late 2020, but with Covid-19 delaying filming we might need to reevaluate that guess.
After will Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Season 4 be published on Netflix?
There is no release date for The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Part yet. Part 3 hit Netflix in January 2020, therefore it may be a little while before the installment is published on the streamer.
In the event, the release pattern is anything similar to using the first two batches (Part 1 was released in October 2018, with Part 2 following in April 2019) we could anticipate Part 4 to land towards the end of 2020. Generation for Part 4 is now underway, with filming expected to wrap up in February 2020.
What will it CAS be about?
Part 3 watched Sabrina head to the depths of Hell to rescue her boyfriend, whose entire body held back the Lord, aka Sabrina’s creepy father. The show expanded to the show’s mythology, introducing viewers to a new (under)world.
She could let the injustices occurring in Hell go unchallenged, vowing to deliver directly to the realm of Satan. The show took a leaf Endgame messed around with all the distinct timelines that were previous, leading to 2 Sabrinas from the day — one that rules Hell, and yet one that yields to Greendale and playbook.
It’s unclear what will be the focus of Part 4 just yet, but showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa told TheWrap that Part 4 would likely be”following both Sabrinas concurrently going ahead”
“We’re still shooting and we’re kind of down to our last few episodes of Part 4, that has been enjoyable,” he explained. “Each component has its sort of identity, and Part 4 differs from Part 3, where a great deal of it was put in Hell, we still have this. But every episode of Part 4 is similar to its mini horror film, which is exciting.”
Who is in the cast of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Season 4?
Rounding out the Spellman clan headed by Kiernan Shipka’s Sabrina are Miranda Otto (Lord of the Rings) as Aunt Zelda, Lucy Davis (The Office) as Aunt Hilda and Chance Perdomo as cousin Ambrose.
Sabrina’s mortal friends are played with Ross Lynch (Harvey Kinkle), Jaz Sinclair (Rosalind Walker), and Lachlan Watson (Theo Putnam). Gavin and Watson Leatherwood, who plays Sabrina’s warlock boyfriend Nick Scratch, were upped to show regulars for Part 3, and they’re expected to play major roles.
Also likely to return would be Michelle Gomez (Mary Wardwell/Lilith/Madam Satan), Tati Gabrielle (Prudence Blackwood), and Richard Coyle (Father Blackwood).
