Classroom of the Elite was arguably one of the greatest anime series of 2017, but it has been three long years since this first season concluded.
Lately, there have been a set of articles and rumors circulating social media that the second season could be coming out shortly, but what exactly do we formally know about season 2?
WILL THERE BE A SEASON 2 OF CLASSROOM OF THE ELITE?
At the time of writing, Classroom of the Elite has not been renewed for another year by Studio Lerche and remains unlikely to come back.
There was a lot of confusion about season 2 of Classroom of this Elite as soon as an official trailer for part two of the light book series premiered. The movie was shared across social websites beneath the false assumption this trailer was for now 2 of the anime — constructing expectation from the fanbase that the series will be returning soon.
On the other hand, the odds that the anime will be renewed for a second season stays extremely slender, and also the reason for this is that the reception it got from lovers. Whilst the first season did function nicely in the western world, the show was poorly received in Japan and skilled severe criticism for how it accommodated the mild book series.

CLASSROOM OF THE ELITE SEASON 2 RELEASE DATE…
As Classroom of the Elite has not been formally renewed for another season, a possible release date remains unknown — but if season 2 is declared, we anticipate a 2022 premiere.
Production on another period of Classroom of the Elite (if renewed) depends on two variables; when the series gets the green light and how much funds it’s given.
Whilst there may be enough source material from the mild novel series to accommodate into a second season, Classroom of the Elite may not be a high priority from a production standpoint, i.e. there are more precious series that Lerche may be working on.
Because of this, the studio may wait until they have a comparatively free manufacturing window before they even consider making a second season. This means that the maximum realistic launch date for season 2 if renewed within another six months, will probably be 2022 at the very earliest.
Hopefully, we will find an official announcement regarding the future of Classroom of the Elite by the end of the year.
