The second half of Fear the Walking Dead season 6 is full of heartbreak and revelations, following executive producer Scott M. Gimple. The very first spin-off, or companion, series to spawn from AMC’s The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead, was created by Robert Kirkman and Dave Erickson and primarily focused around the Clark family when the series began in 2015. Family matriarch Madison (Kim Dickens) was immediately recognized since the series protagonist, fearlessly directing her family and other Los Angeles lands through the zombie apocalypse. Fear the Walking Dead has concentrated more on original series personality Morgan Jones (Lennie James) and his assignment to locate fresh survivors since his transition onto the series in season 4.
The series began filming season 6 in November 2019, but production was halted in March 2020 due to this coronavirus pandemic. The second half of season 6 kicks off with the mid-season premiere”The Door,” led by Ian Goldberg & Andrew Chambliss, accompanied by a new Talking Dead episode. The remaining nine episodes will also present three new characters played by John Glover (The fantastic Wife), Nick Stahl (Carnivale), and Keith Carradine (Madam Secretary). They will see Morgan try to free the remaining members of his group whilst handling the effect Virginia’s (Colby Minifie) control needed on every group member. The episodes will also concentrate on Virginia because she sets out to locate her sister and protect her Pioneers. Stakes are high in the remaining nine episodes, as alliances and loyalties will be altered forever.
Season 6 has been noted to be different from previous seasons, with critics and fans praising its darker and mysterious storyline. Its noticeable improvement in season 5 and Gimple’s guarantee of higher bets to come likely makes enthusiasts much more excited to tune into the final nine episodes. While the pandemic has complex Fear The Walking Dead’s release schedule, its return this spring will be worth the wait.
