His Dark Materials is a fantasy drama television series based on the novel series of the same name by Philip Pullman. It is produced by Bad Wolf and New Line Productions for BBC One and HBO, with the latter handling international distribution.
The eight-episode first series premiered on 3 November 2019 with 8 episodes on BBC One in the United Kingdom and on 4 November on HBO in the United States. Before the series premiered, His Dark Materials was renewed for a second series of eight episodes.
Its first season got 80% rating from Rotten Tomatoes and mixed reviews.
The creators decided to go ahead with the second season after the first one and all the eight episodes have already been filmed. So here is everything you need to know about it.

His Dark Materials season 2: Plot
Season 2 will pick up from where it left in season one. Season two will adapt The Subtle Knife, Pullman’s second book in the original trilogy. While it’s safe to assume that most of the story beats will be picked up again on screen, season one has already played around with the story a bit, so season two still has the potential to surprise fans.
We’re certain that Will Parry will join Lyra in Cittàgazze at some point, the two moving between their worlds and other, newly discovered universes as we begin to see the cosmic – not to say apocalyptic – consequences of Asriel’s discoveries about the nature of Dust.
