Musk: Solar-Charging Cybertruck To Add 15 Miles Of Range Per Day launched in late 2021

While demonstrating the durability of the new Tesla Cyber Truck, Elon Musk was caught off-guard by what came next.

During the showcase, Cyber Truck attracted a lot of attention because of its angular, futuristic look. Many admired it and cheered, but many were bemused.

On Saturday, Elon Musk tweeted out that Tesla had received 146k orders for the truck so far. He also mentioned that they received the rules without any advertisements or endorsements.

All these orders have been placed, but the release date of the truck is yet to be released. It is speculated to be launched in late 2021.

Cyber Truck can go from 0 to 100kmph in just three seconds. The truck has a body of stainless steel alloy and steel windows. When the people saw the roof of the truck, they had only one question in mind, “Is that a solar-roof?”

A curious person like all others tweeted out the photo of the truck and asked Elon Musk about the same. Elon Musk is an active user of Twitter, and he replied promptly.

Elon said that Tesla would provide its customers with an option to add solar panels on the proof which will add 15 miles per day.

Elon further said that they might add a fold-out solar panel to add 30-40 miles per day. Cyber Truck already has 500-miles maximum limit, and the solar panels will add miles furthermore.

The truck was claimed to be bulletproof. What happened at the event was Elon Musk demonstrated how the windows of the Cyber Truck are durable.

Elon proceeded to throw a metal ball at the window of the truck, and it smashed through. He then proceeded to throw another metal ball at the rear window, and it broke too. He cursed under his breath and then said that there is always room for improvement.

The share price went down by 6%, and Elon Musk lost $768m in a single day.

Anyhow, what happened cannot be reversed. Accidents happen. The thing to focus on is that the new Tesla will be self-charging to the addition of the solar panels. It further adds miles to the truck. The future is here.
