After a long wait, The Last Kingdom recently returned to Netflix for an action-packed fourth summer that saw more epic struggles and gruesome character deaths in the war between Saxon and Dane.
Alexander Dreymon reprised his role as Uhtred of Bebbanburg, who once again had to measure up to rescue Wessex from annihilation, while also facing the challenge of becoming a better dad.
The series continues to have a passionate fanbase that is keen to see more books from Bernard Cornwell’s Saxon Stories adapted for the screen, but will The Kingdom be back for another year on Netflix?
The Last Kingdom Season 5: Release Date
It’s around December 2018, Once We hear about The Last Kingdom’s renewal.
In April 2019, the fourth installment of The Last Kingdom started filming, according to Netflix.
We can expect The Last Kingdom Season 4, although we’re currently awaiting an official air date announcement by Netflix to arrive in 2020. An official trailer by Netflix is due, and we will know.
