The forthcoming Netflix thriller play is a loose adaptation wonderland’ by writer Ace Atkins and includes character names created by author Robert B Parker. Following two Boston police officers’ murders, Spencer an ex-cop recruits an MMA fighter and his ex-girlfriend to discover the conspiracy that’s associated with their deaths.

Plot
Netflix’s official synopsis reads”Spenser (Mark Wahlberg) an ex-cop better known for producing difficulty than solving it just got out of prison and is leaving Boston for good. But he gets sucked into helping his boxing trainer and mentor, Henry (Alan Arkin), using a promising amateur. That’s Hawk (Winston Duke), a brash, no-nonsense MMA fighter convinced he will be a tougher competition than Spenser ever was. After two of Spenser’s former coworkers turn up murdered, he recruits Hawk and his foul-mouthed ex-girlfriend, Cissy (Iliza Shlesinger), to help him explore and bring the offenders to justice.”

Duke is famous for his epic character as Gabe Wilson in Jordan Peele’s’Us’ and recognized for his role since M’Baku out of’Panther’ and avengers: Infinity War’ and Avengers: Endgame’
