Lost in Space is a science fiction, family drama. Till now, 2 seasons have been aired by Netflix.
Both seasons have 10 episodes each. The length of each episode ranges between 39 minutes to 65 minutes. The show premiered on 13th April 2018. The 2nd season was released on 24th December 2019.
The 1st season was given a 68% rating by rotten tomatoes. Subsequently, season 2 received an 83% rotten tomatoes rating. The amazing effects and simple yet solid storyline make this show worth watching.
The show was enjoyed by the audience who are interested in sci-fi adventures.
Cast
Majority of the case remains the same. The parents i.e. Maureen (Molly Parker) and John (Toby Stephens) have been seen in the second season as well. Further, Judy (Taylor Russell), Will (Maxwell Jenkins), and Penny (Mina Sundwall), the Robinson children have also returned.
Plot
The first season had a spine chilling end with the family being unknowingly dashed away from the anonymous alien planet. The new place is related to the drawing made by Will’s robot. This season also revealed the reason for the use of stolen alien tech by human colonists. Further, the second season indicated towards wicked deals entered in the past and the mystery behind the interaction between robots and humanity.
Moreover, the second season also ended with a cliffhanger with the lead characters ending in oblivion. The Robinson parents are unable to find the children yet again after they get lost in space while trying to reach Alpha Centauri. Further, the speculation that Will had some connection with his Robot ends when the season end indicates towards the contrary.
Additionally, the ring around the planets appears to be the nest of the scarecrow as he returns with an army. However, the lightning storms and the plot of accumulation of energy and constant communication by the robots still remains a mystery as it would need serious hampering with the weather of planets to yield such results.
Season 3 will definitely revolve around what lies on the other end of the wormhole which was used by the robot to escape. But it can be guaranteed that the parents will find the Robinson kids as Don could rescue Maureen and John before the destruction of Resolute. Thus, the third season is going to be full of adventures which will aim at resolving a lot of mysteries.
