McLaren brings home the podium two times now, in the last three Grand Prix. The one was Brazil last year. And at the earlier one, it was Lando Norris for McLaren rather than Sainz. Sainz is very insightful and enthusiastic this time. And we can hear him being cheerful and hopeful of more top-three finishes from his team in the upcoming seasons and races if they can only maintain their impressive race pace.
Norris started the race at P3 in the Austrian Grand Prix. And then, we saw his best finishes, both, F1 qualifying. it was also because of the benefits from a grid drop-down of Lewis Hamilton. After this, the two teammates fought each other. And then, a strong finish from Norris took forth for him. And then, he got the benefits of the Hamilton penalty. Thus, bringing Sainz fifth home.
Sainz is really happy for his teammate. He started the match from P8. But he is positive with the note that he finishes just three seconds after his teammate. He says Lando was pretty fast on tracks, even since practice. And in the last laps, it was like a battle on tracks. He is thus, very sure, that if they continue the form, there are more podiums for McLaren absolutely. Not to forget, Sainz and Norris’ combined score of 26 now takes McLaren to their biggest weekend points haul since the 2014 Australian Grand Prix.
