    Royal Enfield Flying Flea & Royal Enfield Roadster petitions filed for trademarks

    Royal Enfield recently was very involved in the development of new products. This works on the next-gen Classic and the sequel to the Thunderbird-the Royal Enfield Meteor. Currently, the company has filed for two brand names -Royal Enfield Flying Flea and Royal Enfield Roadster -for trademark.

    Flying Flea is not a brand new name, personally. It was a nickname given to the lightweight Royal Enfield WD / RE that had a 125 cc. With a single-cylinder, two-stroke, air-cooled engine. And used by British troops during World War II. This would not be the first time Royal Enfield would resurrect a brand from the past.

    On the other hand, the company hadn’t used Royal Enfield Roadster in the past. It’s a new name. It could mean that it would be an all-new motorcycle that’s lighter and easier to ride, attracting more affluent buyers in the metropolitan markets.

    Royal Enfield has filed a trademark claim for Hunter brand in December last year. Specifications of this platform are still flimsy. However, Royal Enfield Hunter predicted to most likely star an off-road biased individual. Enter the portfolio of the company’s Royal Enfield Himalayan. To keep the costs low it should feature budget-friendly hardware.
