Best sports electric motorcycle – Lightning LS 218

The sports motorcycles indulge in the latest technology of evolving as the superbikes.

The lightning Ls 218 is such a bike that comes with IPM liquid cooled 150kw+ 10,500 rpm electric motor with varied battery packs. The first battery pack is of a 380V 12 kWh battery pack, which gives a range of 100-120 miles on a complete charge.

The second battery pack features with 380V 15 kWh battery pack, which gives you the range of 120-150 miles per charge.  The last one includes a 380V 20 kWh battery pack fetching you with a variety of 160-180 miles per charge.

Lightning wanted its first bike to be as electrifying as possible. The fully adjustable Ohlins suspension at either ends and the brakes are from Brembo.

The Dual Brembo 320mm disc; Brembo radial-mount brakes with forged 4-piston calipers and 2 Brembo T-Drive 320mm Fully-Floating Rotors, 2 Brembo Brembo GP4-RX CNC Radial Calipers further enhances the performance.

RaceTech fork (upgrade option: Öhlins FGRT inverted fork) with NIX30 cartridge internals, TiN surface treatment,
billet aluminum radial caliper mountings give you excellence. Fully adjustable spring preload, compression, and rebound damping ensure you with the best comforts.

Lightning ls – 218 equips the best programmable regenerative brake system. The Lightning forged aluminum  3.5″ x 17″, 120/70ZR17 front wheel comes with the classic combination of lightning forged aluminum 6.0″ x 17″, 190/55ZR17 rear wheel.

This electrified motorcycle takes 30 mins on a DC fast charger for a complete charge.

While it takes 120 minutes on level 2 charger for a complete charge. Adjustment for preload, ride height, high and
low-speed compression, and rebound adds on extra features to the lightning ls – 280. Billet aluminum swingarm with lines and  Öhlins TTX36 Shock and linkage system makes it furthermore exciting to the audience.

It comes with the direct drive motor transmission. The party piece of the LS-218 is its electric motor. It competes with the standard petrol engines with a performance of 149kW of power and 228Nm of torque.

The unique feature of Ls- 218 is it produces higher torque than other electric powered automobiles. On a basis, the lightning ls -218s torque figure is more than what you get in a Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.

The entry-level price of ls- 218 starts from Rs. 27.72 lakh and ranges to Rs. 33.41 lakhs.
